HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING IN OUR COMMUNITY!
I’m sorry. At CrossFit Cape Coral, we’ve been lucky enough to get the chance to help a LOT of people and we feel that our passionate coaches and our programs have helped to improve the quality of life for many people. But this letter is specifically to any one of you who DIDN’T have a great experience.
At the beginning of every one of your training sessions, your Coach should be talking to you about the intended stimulus of that day’s training. At CrossFit Cape Coral, we usually do this after the general warm-up, when we gather around the digital whiteboard for a chat. This is where we always remind everyone, that the goal is NOT always to go all out.
It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the constant push by society to lose weight. Some fad diets will tell you to cut out a macro in it’s entirety! The most fundamental way to lose weight is a calorie deficit, however, restricting too much can have negative effects on your health.
I’ve always enjoyed fitness. Before CrossFit, I was a spinning and aerobics instructor, and I did pretty typical gym workouts with a lot of cardio and very little weights. I had tried CrossFit a few times at a few different boxes and I absolutely hated it.
Imagine waking up every day at 3:45 am, driving to the gym, opening up, and having the energy to get everyone else excited as they’re walking in. That’s what Anna has always done, and she’s been the definition of a Coach for 4 years.
I found CrossFit while I was in the Army. I thought I was insanely fit because I ran every day, ruck-marched, and I’d been to Iraq and survived twice already. I’d heard about CrossFit from some other soldiers, mostly officers, and thought it was SUPER lame, but just like most people that “hate on” things, I had no idea what I was talking about.
Talk with a coach about your goals, get the plan to achieve them.
